…Your Support for Atiku Abubakar will end Misery in Nigeria – Imo PDP assures Owerri West Stakeholders

The former Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, stressed that PDP is a political party of integrity which has consistently kept its campaign promises saying that Nigerians are anxiously waiting for Atiku Abubakar for revival of Nigeria as president .
Ihedioha stated this at a town hall meeting in Obinze with leaders and stakeholders of Owerri West council of the state on Wednesday, enjoined the people to vote Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President, adding that Nigeria today looks forward to the PDP candidate for its revival.
He said, “When we came to you the last time, we promised to deal with issues of pensions. When we got to office, we gave you pensions. We automated the payment process. From your homes, you got your pensions. We are a party you can trust. Our word is our bond. Today, we showcase our candidates.
“Atiku Abubakar has the capacity to unify Nigeria. He shall restore peace and redeem the integrity of state. He will revive and revitalize our comatose industries. He has earned the trust of Nigerians. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar stands out. Let us support him to fix Nigeria,” Ihedioha urged stakeholders.
The former Governor further enjoined the people of Owerri West to support the senatorial candidate of the Party for Imo East, Hon. Uche Onyeagucha, whom he described as a man of integrity, the candidate for House of Representatives, Hon. Ikenna Elezieanya, and the candidate for House of Assembly candidate, Chief Rogers Augustine Nwoke, whose sterling records as an accomplished banker are know
Speaking earlier , state Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Engr Charles Ugwuh urged the people of Owerri West council of the State to utilize the 2023 general elections to sweep out the APC-led administration in the country, which he said has put the country in reverse gear and visited hardship and misery on Nigerian people.
The Party also assured the people that their support for the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will halt the nation’s drift towards anarchy and end the mass misery in the land.
According to the former Minister for Commerce and Industry, the people of Owerri West, with a voting strength of one hundred and forty thousand ( 140,000) registered voters, have the power to change the unacceptable circumstance in Nigeria and deliver a new government that will meet the aspirations of the people for a better society.
Ugwuh said PDP has fielded candidates who are good and qualified, men of character and integrity. He therefore called on the people to vote PDP overwhelmingly, so as participate in the making of a new Nigeria.
The town hall meeting brought together leaders of trade unions, town unions, religious bodies, traditional institutions, pensioners, student unions and private sector in Owerri West, while the rally had the massive attendance of PDP leaders, members and supporters in Owerri West LGA.
