Yoga heals

Yoga! What can it do for me? Does it really work? Can I shed off weight by
practicing yoga? These are some of the questions people ask when you introduce
YOGA to them as a means of fitness.
To be honest folks, I think YOGA is fantastic and necessary for the not-so-
fat individuals but will not be very impressive for the obese. YOGA is a kind
of exercise that deals with more of meditation and deep sense of concentration.
People suffering with back pain, depression, cancer and high blood pressure
can benefit a lot from Yoga classes.
Doing Yoga is not a waste of time like most people think but it takes a lot
of patience and practice before you start reaping the benefits of Yoga. Like
I said earlier, those who are not obese will find Yoga very healing and interesting
due to the fact that, they are not anxious to shed weight fast. This does not
rule out the fact that you can also shed fat by doing Yoga – but it takes
more and longer period of practice unlike aerobics and cardiovascular exercises.
Obese people will benefit more from Yoga if they combine their ‘hot exercise’
with some yoga stretches. So if you are obese, do not rule out Yoga completely,
it helps as well.
Some people also say – “Yoga is for lazy people”. Says who?
If you practice Yoga, you will know that it requires great concentration, stamina
and focus or else you cannot achieve results. Yoga relaxes your mind, soothes
your aches, and relieves you of stress. Issues of the mind are directly targeted
during Yoga and it takes courage and strength to work on your mind and soul.
So yoga is not for lazy people!!
Hey, if you have not done it before, get help from an expert or fitness instructor
so you do not hurt yourself. Also check with your private doctor before doing
Yoga.
