God is enough reason

In the African society, it is unmanly for men to express love openly to women. You ask a man – do you love your wife? He answers – of course I do! How do you show her that you love her? He answers again – By making sure I provide for her and the kids!
A typical Nigerian man answer of how much he loves his wife hardly goes beyond saying – “he provides for her and the kids”. Once in a while, you see some men who talk about buying her presents, marking her birthday, taking her out on vacations but I, personally cannot remember ever hearing a man say things like – I cook some times when my wife is not there; I help her a lot in the kitchen when she is cooking; I help to change the baby’s diapers; I serve her breakfast in bed and other vital affections majority of women crave from men who claim to love and adore them.

(I can hear some men reading this cursing and saying – forget it girl - it’s weakness! un mainly! For what? Well, good! That is also the reason; we have many broken homes/marriages! How about those who also say that – I love my wife because I perform my role as a husband regularly. And you ask – what role? SEX of course! What a moronic answer!! Sex? How many men actually have sex with women due to genuine love?

How many men really have sex because of Godly kind of love? Selfless love and not lust/infatuation? God’s kind of love is when your wife is not strong enough to perform her domestic duties and you simply help out without grumbling and allowing your ego or social status take over you or stop you. God’s kind of love is when your wife or fiancée is diagnosed with HIV, diabetes, Breast Cancer, Sickle-cell and you still continue to love her. This, my friends, is what real love is all about and its only men who know and understand God that can possess such love, (same applicable to women too!).

The point am trying to make here today is that, our men should really try to put off their ego, social status, idiotic traditions and embrace Godly love. A man with Godly love can hardly have problems with his marriage. Even if he finds himself involved with a devilish woman (there are so many of them) with his Godly love, and his position as the head of the family, he conquers all. Real-Godly love goes beyond SEX!. “Any body can have sex with anybody without love”!! SEX is not love!!!
