Sometime ago I got a voice message from 17 years old Kimberly and it goes like this – Hi Aunty Jacqui, please, please don’t say “No” to what am gonna say or else I will lock my self up in my room for days without food (my heat skips). E-eem, let me tell you that I and my family adore you especially my mummy. she asked me to invite you over for breakfast this weekend.

You can reach me on…we love you! Bye! Kimberly”. Boom! What a girl I said, after listening , I said to myself – “who wants to make a sweet-voice-pretty angel like that lock herself up without food? Certainly not Jacqui because from the tone of her voice, she was damned serious, and her family was involved as well.
By now my regular fans know that I hardly accept any kind of invitation because I get lots and lots of them but, Kim really got me and I returned her call but no date was fixed because, I had to carry out some investigations. All cleared, it was a drama when I called back and it was her mum that answered – “How are you Jacqui?

Does it mean you are accepting our invitation? By the way, this is Kim’s Mum and then, I heard her calling on Kim to come down stairs and speak with me. Kim didn’t allow me finish with her mum, the next thing I heard was “aunty Jac, that’s great! E-em, can we pick you up? What time are you arriving? The pretty lass couldn’t allow me say a word. Voila! the breakfast deal was settled after all the excitement for the next weekend. Visiting people is not my thing at –all but once I promise, I keep to it! So I promised Kim I will be there.

When I finally got to their villa in VGC Lagos, I thought it was just the usual breakie but Kim and her family rolled out a buffet! Kim, prettier than I thought almost threw me down with her hugs and screams. Her Dad left for golf after welcoming me with the name “Tough Jacqui” Did you read that? Tough Jacqui? H-mm!! I said to my self—‘Gir-l you are in’ and I was left with Kim and her younger ones and couple of their friends to contend with. Glad he left or else there would have been lots of probing questions from him which would have unsettle me and Jacqui hates to find herself in that situation. Her Mum took one look at me and said – Jacqui, you also look as you “sound” on paper you know” How? I asked. She said “very plain and calm”. And hot! Kim added. Still wondering what Kim meant by me being hot anyway. Hey, Kim that’s a great top you are wearing, I said. Everybody screamed! What happened to those skimpy tops I always quarrel with Kim? Her mum teased. Bare it all? I asked. Yes ,Jacqui please talk to her. Her mum continued, its because she knows you are coming, that’s why she covered up Jacqui, am tired of talking to her.

As we settle down to eat, everyone’s eyes rested on my plate and Kim queried – is that all you are eating? Well sweetie, am not a breakfast person and I also don’t eat much – I replied. Her Mum cleared her throat and said – my dear Jacqui, it will be our greatest pleasure if you can taste all we have here and tell me what you think of each of them? I will tell you the secret after please. I later discovered she had a unique business plan and she needs Jacqui to evaluate her variety of dishes starting with the first meal of the day. Boy, am still wondering where Kim’s mum got all her cooking magic.

How ya doin’ Kim? It was fun hanging out with you and your family, the buffet was great especially the fresh variety of juice. I also enjoyed the way your mum prepared the omelette mixed with variety of fresh peas and vegetables and herbs. I hardly eat fried eggs but, the variety of omelette were great. Thanks for your lovely presents, the bath salt feels good, so soothing for all the stress I accumulate in Lagos daily.

Hey, still wearing those skimpy tops? You are cool Kim but, baring it all will not add more to your beauty rather, it diminishes your worth and pride as a woman. Ok? You got lovely skin too! Whats your secret girl? Any way, just bear in mind that you look great just the way you are and he-i, no more complains from mum about skimpy tops.

Hey ladies, BW is still giving out Chamomile rejuvenating eye oil treatment for its registered members. Try and get yours! Very good for people with dark circles and crow feet.

BEAUTY SPLASH: When the climate is too hot and sunny, skip lip gloss and use balm instead.
