"What shall you be remembered for after you have completed
your journey here on earth and transit to eternity? We are
in a pilgrimage and life is all about impact. Your worth in
life is a product of how many people your life on earth has
been able to affect, so also is your honour and your glory
hereafter, a product of how many lives you have influenced
unto righteous living."
Yes Lord…An Answer To A Divine Call written by Dr. Blessing
Jibuike is a clarion call on people to embrace Jesus as well
as a divine call to service for all who want to be saved from
sin. The book documents the author’s exploits in her
mission. It also contains espionages, expeditions, wonderful
testimonies from the mission field and other humanitarian
services.
It catalogues experiences from her humble background in the
rural areas to the mountainous fields in Koma hills, the war-torn
camps in Ghana and the destitute and charitable homes across
the nations.
At a glance, the missionary’s visit to Koma hill in
Adamawa State, her experiences and she impacted positively
on the lives of the people are recorded. Koma environment
and its geo-politics, its customs, tradition, religion and
occupation are equally captured. Some other charitable works
by the missionaries (SUMA) are narrated. For example, their
visit to Agape Orphanage Home and School of the Blind at Umuahia,
Abia State as well as their missions to Lagos State are well
documented.
Also recorded is their mission to Liberian refugee camp in
Buduburam, Ghana. SUMA friends, divine open doors and SUMA
Vice President’s eye witness account of their activities
in different places and nations are also listed. One of the
most pathetic stories is the abandonment of orphans where
ants eat them up. They are starved and kept in a desolated
home that was formerly a piggery.
In the foreword to the book, Rev. (Dr.) Humphery Erumaka,
General Overseer, Wordbase Assembly, Lagos, Nigeria described
it as an expression of the foretold values and a wake-up call
to all to collectively search for other forgotten people in
the neighbourhood. Erumaka believes that within this flourishing
oil-rich prosperous nation was a primitive tribe of Koma,
who were still akin to Adam’s fig leaves approach to
fashion. He acknowledge’s that what makes a man great
is his ability to make others and that a woman’s greatness
is not measured by her great looks and cat walk with trendy
fashion but her power of spiritual perception.
The book which is divided into three parts has a total of
14 chapters. Part one has only introduction, part two contains
chapters two to seven while part three contains the remaining
chapters.
The cover of the book made of glossy and quality paper. It
is written in simple, understandable English Language. Numerous
pictures are used and these to a great deal tell the stories
and give better understanding.
The author’s wish is for everyone to become precious
in God’s sight to the extent that the desire to meet
the need of missions and humanitarian services would be kindled.
Widely travelled Blessing Jibuike is a woman who has given
all for the cause of missionary work. She is the initiator
and President of Support Missionary Aids International (SUMA),
a non-governmental organization for missionaries.
This month, she would host the world with her proposed international
programme. She is also a pastor of the Love of Jesus Family
Church, Lagos. First among the eight children of Wilcox Amadi
and Mrs. Helen Nwaubani of Eziama Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA
of Abia, Blessing is married to Rev. Onyemachi Jibuike of
Mbom Ibeku, Umuahia in Abia State and blessed with five children.
