A new business reality television show, The Entrepreneur
will be unveiled on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Jade Restaurant,
Ikeja, GRA, Lagos by 10am.
According to Goke Dokun, Executive Director, Inspire Media
Production Company (IMPC), the outfit behind the show, The
Entrepreneur aims to empower small business owners, promote
entrepreneurship through investment in innovative social enterprises,
educate people on numerous strategies of how to pitch a business
idea, contribute to poverty alleviation in the society and
to achieve a positive social impact.
Blockbuster learnt that the business show
is offering the opportunity of a lifetime to Nigerians with
novel ideas who are looking to start or grow their businesses
the chance to access up to N1m by presenting their ideas before
a board comprising The Chairman, The Advisor, The Banker and
The Business Angel. However, the candidates must impress The
Board with their creativity and vision to access the cash
needed.
Says Dokun: “The Entrepreneur is all about giving 60
Nigerian micro-entrepreneurs the freedom to own their ideas.
It will give these people the required cash for their businesses
without interference in how they run them, we simply support
them without taking a stake in their businesses.”

pan-African bank as the lead sponsor in association with Vitamalt
Plc while the Growing Businesses
Foundation (GBF) and Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) are partners.
