Things are certainly looking up for 80 year-old juju maestros, Fatai Rolling Dollar. Coming after his successful Valentine shindig held on February 16, 2008 at Orchid Le Tamariska in Lekki, Lagos where he entertained married couples, lovers and glitterati, the management of the outfit has now invited him to perform there monthly.

Blockbuster learnt that arrangements have been concluded to have the highlife crooner in the house every first Friday of the month.

Fatai Rolling Dollar and Jimi Solanke will be in the house every first Friday of every month, together with other hot music acts, and comedians to thrill the A-list audience to quality entertainment in a serene, cozy and comfortable environment offered by Orchid Le Tamariska.

“My fans, in fact, the residents of Lekki/Ajah should be prepared for a mega performance from me and my band members in March and subsequent months ahead,” Rolling Dollar stated.
According to a source, Orchid Le Tamariska, situated on Ameze Osagie Street, beside Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lekki/Epe Expressway, dwarfs all its competitors, in all aspects of hospitality.
“This is a top class celebrity rendezvous, where you can enjoy good food, choice drinks and quality entertainment,” the source explained.

At the Valentine party, which drew quality guests from all over Lagos, Rolling Dollar gave a good account of himself. With two beautiful damsels, who equally gave a good account of themselves as good dancers, the octogenarian has pleasant accomplices in delivering a total entertainment package.

The highlife giant mounted the stage some few minutes to 11pm, and performed till early morning the next day. Starting with a number laced with a heavy but soothing percussive beat, he gradually moved to some easy flow numbers and this could only draw more applause from the ever appreciative audience.
Pa Rolling Dollar threw the audience into excitement when he sang some of his hit numbers such as Wasaba, Agidigbo, Isale Eko, Won Kere Si Number Wa among others, as some of them got on the stage to join him in the fun.
