From her childhood days, Anita Uwagbala, Ex Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria knew what she wanted to be in life. She dreamt of becoming a queen and as such worked towards it. Today, that dream has been fully realized and she is all set to have fun, “ I think it’s time to have fun because I have gotten what I wanted”. But that fun does not include you guys out there, so don’t get any funny idea on your heads. “ Having fun does not include boyfriends, I am not searching and I am not available. It means traveling around the world, going to school and doing some modeling. I don’t have time for men yet”.

Crowning a new queen
The Edo state born ex-queen said she was ecstatic the day she crowned a new queen, not only because she had a successful reign but also for the fact that she was alive to see a new queen crowned. “ It was my birthday the day I handed over the crown to another queen, I felt as if I can fly, it was like free me, oh am gone. Though I felt a little sad, but those were tears of Joy, you know, just a year ago I was crowned and it was a happy moment for me. I was happy that I had a successful reign, it was not easy, so many people died within the last one year but I was alive to hand over the crown I got last year. I was very happy to have crowned a new queen”.

My reign
Many people believe that Anita’s reign was uneventful in that she was not seen in most events. But to her, it was very eventful and fulfilled. My reign was very eventful because the places I wanted to be were the places I was. I wanted to be outside the country and I was outside the country. It’s not about going to party that will make it very eventful, those can even put you into problems. My reign was fun; I did a lot of traveling out, which I am still going to be doing. A queen is somebody you see once in a while and not everyday. So I don’t think you going everywhere and being everywhere that will make you a queen’’.

Now that I am an ex-queen
The 20-year-old ex-queen disclosed that life is much easier for her now as an ex queen. “ I think now that am an ex queen is better because the stress is less and I have time for myself. I can think only of myself, I don’t have to smile at all times, oh I think it’s so much better. Though I would miss the part that I had to represent Nigeria outside the country because those parts were fun. I enjoyed representing the country because when I go to places I was recognized as most beautiful girl in Nigeria, though am still Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria but is not going to be the same again”.

Silver Bird and I
Anita did not grace Miss Silver Bird International pageant and it was believed that she was at loggerhead with the organizers of the pageant that crowned her queen last year. But she said, “ I actually did not want to go for that particular show. That period I was a little bit sick, so going for that show was not for me. Also it’s a competition that I had idea of what was going to happen, is more like my inside people and that I would get to hear all the gist later”.

Memorable occasion
“ Miss World competition remains the most memorable occasion in my life because I was one of the top 15 in the world and we were 107 girls. Do you know what it takes to be top 15 Miss World? It takes a lot. Also, at the Miss World competition, I was crowned African queen and I am still their queen. At the Miss World competition in China, all the continents have one queen and we had five continents. Right now, I am the African queen for the whole Africa, is more like African queen for Miss World, so if anything is going on and they want to do a parade for Africa, I will be the one to go for Africa”.

My plans for the future
Anita plans to join the movie world though she is quick to say that it would only be as hobby she said she is seriously waiting for a script to put her talent in acting into practice. “ I will do a little bit of acting, I am waiting for a script to that effect. Then, I’ll go back to school, do a little bit of modeling too but what is really going to occupy my time is my NGO. It is called Queen Anita Foundation For The Less Privilege.
I also plan on working with the widows and helping them out”.

You can’t tell me I am not beautiful
Anita has a no- nonsense attitude to life and that its what she said got her the crown. She believed in herself and God given attributes. She sees herself as the most beautiful creature on earth. “ You can’t tell me I am not beautiful because I know I am very beautiful and have always been told so. Even if I did not win the crown I know I am very beautiful. And before you can tell me I am not beautiful you must be very beautiful to tell me I am not beautiful. You don’t get people like me at all time”. She said with a smile.

Relationship
“I am not in any relationship right now, not for the fact that I don’t have men asking me out but because I am not ready for it. So when men ask me for relationship, I make them my friends and once you are my friend you cannot ask me for sex. Again, you don’t make the conversation too personal because that is when men ask you for sex. But when I am ready, I would like a caring, loving and understanding man. In fact, my kind of person”.

Role model
“ I have a lot of them locally and internationally. I respect Agbani for wining Miss world. I just respect her for that because wining Miss world is not easy at all. You win among 107 girls, its God and only God alone”.
