Nemesis caught up with a four-man gang of criminals that
specialises in breaking into shops and stealing the goods
at Okokomaiko market, Ojo, Lagos. They are: Ibrahim Useni,
27, of 33 Mission Street, opposite Ojo Military cantonment,
Azeez Aamin, 20, of no fixed address who lives at Shibiri.
The third and the fourth members Ejiri and Rasheed Onoya are
now at large. Their target is shop, where textiles, fabrics,
and other wears are sold.
For months now, they have succeeded in breaking into shops
and emptying the goods in them. Every morning, the victims
would cry their voices out and thereafter lick their wounds.
In the early morning of last Wednesday, Ibrahim was caught
while Ejire and Rasheed escaped.
That was after their third raid of a particular shop within
a short time. The first time, they stole goods and cash worth
over N200,000, the second time, they made about N100,000.
This third time, the value was yet to be determined. This
is just for a particular shop. Other shop owners have tales
of woes to tell over the activities of the gang. Ibrahim said
Ejiri introduced him to the crime.

For Azeez, fate has made it that he would vomit and pay dearly
for his past atrocities. He did not participate in this last
act.
When the police fished out Ibrahim, Aziz was in his wife’s
shop at the same Okoko market watching him. Ibrahim saw him
and pointed at Azez and told the police that that man watching
him is one of them. The police promptly arrested Azeez while
in his wife’s shop. Azeez however admitted following
them to steal in the past but had repented.
