Kaduna police nab 105 human

The Kaduna State police command has arrested some armed robbers, including human traffickers. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the suspects.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Haz Iwendi, who disclosed this to Daily Sun, said the activities of the bandits posed threat to the society.

According to the CP, the 105 suspected human traffickers were arrested by a police patrol team along Kaduna/Abuja expressway.

The Mitsubishi lorry used by the human traffickers were said to have been intercepted at Gadam-Malam Maman. When the police searched the lorry, 105 children, all males, were found in it.

According to Iwendi, they were coming from Agalana-Bauda, Kiru Local Government Area of Kano State and were heading for Suleja in Niger State when they were intercepted.

Their ages ranged between four and 14 years.
Iwendi explained that the case had been transferred to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further investigation and possible prosecution.
He disclosed that some youths were arrested along Zango road, Kaduna for being in possession of dangerous weapons.
They were said to have been armed and attempted to cause bodily harm to some people before the police stepped in.

Recovered from the youths were 14 cutlasses, iron rods, 32 sticks, bows and arrows.
Iwendi also told Daily Sun that 10 suspected robbers, who used commercial buses to operate were arrested.
They were nabbed at Kabala West Central market, Kaduna. The CP said all the suspects would appear in court soon.
