MTN rewards 200,000 customers with free airtime

Leading Nigerian telecommunications company, MTN Nigeria Communications Limited, has splashed N20 million free airtime on its customers who participated in the just-concluded Recharge & Win Promotions. In all 200,000 customers are being credited with N100 airtime each.

By last week, 100,000 winners who were drawn from the first two rounds of draws had received their N100 free airtime each, totalling N10 million. Congratulatory messages signed by MTN authorities were also sent through SMS to each of the lucky customers.

Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer of MTN Nigeria, Mr Afam Edozie said by the awards, MTN has demonstrated a firm commitment to its loyal customers.
The promotion, which was designed to reward loyal customers of MTN, has so far produced three millionaires from the last three draws.

The company is expected to use the promo to make five of its customers millionaires. It would also give 10 couples the opportunity of enjoying all-expenses-paid weekend trips in any 5-star hotel of their choice in Nigeria. Similarly, 20 subscribers would win wardrobes worth N100,000, while 100 customers would enjoy shopping vouchers worth N10,000 each. At the end of the draws, over 200,000 MTN customers’ lives would have been made beautiful through various cash prizes and other gift items.

Edozie described the prizes as a way of positively impacting on the lives of Nigerians, while it adds value to the services it offers as the “wider, reliable network in the country”.
MTN Recharge and Win promo is the second phase of the Life is Beautiful campaign for the celebration of love, during the Valentine season and was aimed at rewarding subscribers who wished to have fun and express love and appreciation, which is characteristic of the season.
