Some of the parents, who spoke to Daily Sun approved of the day.

Mrs Comfort Onu, who was visibly enjoying the event, said: " I have been with them when they were at marine road. This event would make children know more about their environment. Although, I have almost exhausted my wallet, it is good and any child that did not turn up has missed a lot. The event is good at least once in a year.

For Mrs. Afzal Mohammed who has three children said: " It is very good. Children are enjoying themselves, they don’t want to leave. The organizers should continue with the event. I think there should be more food like jollof rice and juices.

Also speaking, Reverend Ogechukwu Ibem said: " It has been wonderful and surprising. I didn’t know it would be in this magnitude. I came here and found out that that it is not for children alone. The marketing and packaging is of standard. It is worth commendable. Adults can also benefit. There is no dull moment."

Parents and Teachers Association Chairman, Dr. Mrs. Laite Karunwi said: " It’s been wonderful fun-filled years. It gets bigger and better and for me, the parents are not complaining. The teachers are wonderful, selfless and good. We have a wonderful PTA".

There was also an auction of some household items and a raffle draw.
Yosifu Kaj won the first prize which is a trip to London. The second prize of a weekend at Protea Hotel went to Ali Fatima while Funmi got a place at Cynergy suites. There were consolation prizes of MP3, VCD Audio player, picture frame, juicer among others.

The proprietress of the school, Mrs. Tinu Aluko said that the idea behind fun day is to have a family outing where everybody can get together and have fun and at the same time raise awareness and funds for major school projects.
Her words: " We didn’t raise enough money to build a classroom block and a science laboratory so we just continued with the same thing.

The major challenge was in importing the games that we used. The funny thing is that they apparently went to a wrong destination so they had to send us a replacement order and that was a bit scary. We left some things out like the zoo, because unfortunately, the giant ostrich that we brought last year died right after the fun day. So moving the animals could be stressful for them so we had to leave that."
Busybees which runs a nursery and primary education with special emphasis on impeccable spoken English and foreign language development was established in 1991.
