Eric Moore Towers, as the name suggests, are located on
Eric Moore Road, Surulere. The high rise blocks comprise 72
units of three bedroom apartments. Better and more modern
finishs have been deployed into the apartments and new amenities
put in place.
Suddenly, the once virtually abandoned units are now commanding
what the estate surveyor calls full apartments has been very
high that very few units were remaining at the time of this
report.
Therefore, these good times for the once decrepit Eric Moore
Towers as the new owners have rehabilitated the units and
they are now wearing very attractive new look. It shows that
the change of ownership was worth it afterall as the government
at any level has never been known to be good manager of property.
If it was, FESTAC Town (just for example) would not be in
the present parlous state.
The original owners who bought the Towers from the Federal
Government are known to have sold them to the current owners
who knew what to do and did exactly what they had to do in
renovating the units to taste to command higher rental values.
The amenities have been vastly upgraded. Before now, it was
simply because unheard of to speak of swimming pool in Eric
Moore Towers because there were not any. Now there are and
work has been completed. Landscaping has been beautifully
planned and executed that the uninitiated may miss his or
her way in the new Eric Moore Towers. Expansive parking lots
have conveniently partitioned for orderly parking.
There is a generator plants of 1000 KVA capacity with 30,000
litre fuel storage tank to ensure that the new Eric Moore
Towers are lit round the clock. Water supply is guaranteed
with 4No. underground water storage tanks of 50.000 litres
each with water treatment plant/external tank load pump. A
brand new 16 – passenger lift has been installed while
an old one had been refurbished.
Proposed as immediate future development are lawn tennis and
squash courts on which work has begun. The units are in the
market for letting with the firm on Messrs Badmus & Associates
driving the campaign as the letting agent. The unit rent is
N1,000,000 per annum per flat.
The schedule of accomodation comprises living room, dinnning
room with bar, ensuite master bedroom, a study, guest toilet,
kitchen and store. Others are 2 No. bedrooms, shared bathroom/w.c.
etc. The alluring units show excellent workmanship and deft
finished in ceramic/terrazzo floor. The living areas are finished
in mosaic tiles and bedrooms in marble. Windows comprise anodized
aluminum and glass. Fixtures are complemented with the beauty
of natural wood and Formica. The kitchens are equipped with
modern furniture wardrobes.
