We write, on behalf of Grant Properties Limited (our client), to correct some misrepresentations contained in your story entitled Grant opts for solar power in Victory Park Estate as published in the EXQUISITE PROPERTY section of Daily Sun on Monday, February 4, 2008.

Although the reporter's unsolicited effort to write on the Victory Park Estate is commended, it would have been better appreciated if he had sought due audience with our client for necessary clarifications on the true position ofthings concerning the Estate, so that the real estate public is not misinformed and misled. Hence, the following points should be noted.

First, there has not been any 'raging storm' or 'dark clouds' with the Estate at any point in time as imputed by the reporter. So there could not have been a question of the project being 'weighted down' as critical work bas been going on all the time, even if not visible to the public. It is a fact that real estate projects are not child's play, hence the need to undertake serious and painstaking efforts to build and deliver solid value to property buyers at the end of the day. It is therefore not true to claim that there was a 'raging storm' with the Estate or tbe company.

Second, the Estate or the company has not been repackaged under new investors and promoters as misrepresented by the reporter. The same Grant Properties Limited tbat built and delivered the well-received Goshen Beach Estate project is still the promoter of Victory Park Estate, backed by reputable financing banks like Skye Bank, Wema Bank, Sterling Bank and Unity Bank.

Third, the Estate will not be exclusively powered by solar energy as insinuated by the reporter. What Grant Properties Limited intends to do is to use solar power as complementary to the supply trom Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) which will still be the mlljor source of power in tbe Estate.
Please give this rejoinder tbe same prominence as tbe story that led to it. Thank you.
