The first phase of Ofada Housing Estate, a housing project being developed by Cornerstone Construction Nigeria Limited would be ready by May.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Lanre Okupe said the project, which was supposed to have been completed some months ago, was delayed as a result of the inability of the former financial partners to live up to their responsibilities.

Okupe said that they have got another financial partner in the person of Express Discount Limited that has shown seriousness in the area of finance adding that the first phase of the housing project would be ready by May.

“ I want to say that the first phase of Ofada housing project would be delivered by May. Originally, our thinking was that the houses would be ready six months ago but we had difficulties getting the approval from the Ogun State government. It took us one whole year to get the certificate of occupancy.

Again, we had difficulties with our former financial partners who defaulted on their promise to help us financially. But right now, we have got a serious partner that has shown financial commitment and we are now back to the construction site and by May, we are sure to deliver the first phase of the project which would comprise of 42 bungalows and five service plots,” he said.

The Cornerstone Construction company boss said that the first phase of the project would cost N150 million. He said that the second phase which would commence immediately after the first is completed, would comprise of 48 bungalows and 13 service plots while the third phase would comprise of 44 bungalows and seven service plots totaling 158 units.

According to him, the estate is located on a 50 hectare of land.
Ofada Estate is strategically located near Lagos with an approximated 25 minutes drive from Alausa Secretariat. The site could be approached either through the road opposite Redemption Camp at KM 46 Lagos /Ibadan Expressway or Mowe Village.
