Jeans is a universal apparel. There is hardly any place in the world that jeans are not known. It is one outfit everyone loves to wear because it accommodates the rich, the poor, old and young.

While everyone loves jeans, only a few know how to maintain their jeans.

Yes, the fabric is thick and rugged, and could withstand any condition. Therefore wearers are warned because improper handling of this material could spoil the fun for the owner.
While washing your jeans, you should avoid using bleach. You are likely to loose the beauty if you bleach your colored jeans. This may not be applicable if you are washing your white jeans. The quickest way to damage your jeans is to use chemical to wash it. Some drycleaners are guilty of this.

So, let your dry cleaner know that no matter the stain he should avoid cleaning your jeans with chemicals.

You should know that the first time you wash your jeans, wash it alone.
It is not advisable to dry your jeans in a dryer. Too much exposure to sunlight could also have negative effect on the colour of your denim. It is recommended that you always lay your jeans on a towel to dry or if possible, hang them with clothe spin so that no part of the jeans is folded over.
It has also been recommended that you keep your jeans looking best. It is better to wash them in cold water.

Many people tend to use much detergent on their jeans; but there is no need for it. If you are washing a pair of jeans, add a spoonful of salt to help preserve the colour.
