Before now, it was usually not difficult to identify men from the South-East at social gatherings. They always wear the Igbo traditional dresses.

Indeed, the Igbo are proud of their cultural heritage and go every where dressed in the colorful George wrapper, which is tied round their waist with a white or cream lace fabric for the top.

This dress code, which is also common among the Urhobo people, has become acceptable that it is now worn by men from other geo-political zones of the country.

These days, people also wear these outfits to formal occasions and it is gaining ground tremendously.
The outfit comes alive when accessories like hat, beads and a walking stick go with it.
