At the just concluded Nigerian Fashion Week in Lagos, many fabrics and designs were show-cased. One prominent stuff was an exclusive fabrics which looks like painting.

Two brothers, Ghadaffi and Faisal Mohammed, are the brains behind these wonderful creations and they take you into their world.
Zagfag is the name of their label and it is actually the acronym of members of the family.

"This skill runs in the family. I went to school to learn this, but my brother learnt it from an aunt who is skilled in the art. It was after I graduated from Kaduna Polytechnic that I decided to be on my own", Ghadaffi says.

He continues: "We are into many things, but our products are unique from what you see everywhere. We do curtains, interior décor, shirts, aprons, throw pillows, children’s wear as well as caftans for men and women."
So far, it has been lucrative, but Faisal recalls that things were really tough at the beginning.

"Now, the business is getting better and we thank God. At the beginning, it wasn’t so easy, but gradually, things are taking shape."Apart from attending to the needs of their individual customers, the Mohammed brothers also handle bulk projects.

"We have clients scattered all over Kaduna, Lagos and abroad. We did a job for Student and Free Enterprise (SIFE), which was memorable for us. They went to Barcelona, Canada and France and we clothes them".
