Whatever your size is, you can look good in corporate suits.
All you need do is being able to identify good suits.
How?
“Watch out for the cut. The cut determines how you look.
The right cut should streamline your shape. Every good suit
should make you look smarter, slimmer and taller. If not,
forget it”, explains Debbie Ogunjobi of Every Woman.
Watch out for the fabric
Some fabrics are great for suits and some are horrible. A
good suit should pinch your waist, lift your shoulders and
flare your hips to make a figure 8.
Also, watch out for the finishing and fitting. Any woman in
suit should look like a melted candle poured out in a glass.
It is not harmful to wear a tailored suit, but be sure attention
is paid to details.
To Ogunjobi, you can breathe life into your appearance by
using good accessories. You can do that with jewelry, scarves,
camisoles and brooch.
Office colours are normally black, brown or grey. You can
then have a strong colour when you accessorize with bright
colours, like fuchsia pink, pepper red, yellow, orange and
lemon green.
For bigger women, she advises you use a corset, which assists
in pulling in the fat and making the wearer look slimmer.
To care for the suits, you are advised to dry-clean instead
of hand washing. If you must wash, then you have to be careful
with the shoulder pads. Tack it with needle before washing
and spread upside down to avoid overlapping. When ironing,
place a bond paper on the cloth and sprinkle a little water.
You can also place a calico cloth on the suit before you iron.
