Weak organ specialist, Prince (Dr) A.O. Ponle, of Ponle Tradomedical Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, has warned that sex stimulants are addictive and people that patronize them may get to a stage that they cannot sustain erection naturally without them.

He equally said that another demerit of sex stimulants is that it erodes the natural ability the person had to sustain erection before taking to it, thereby making the person have quick ejaculation without it.

Ponle noted that sex stimulants do not cure erectile dysfunction but help the patient sustain erection at that particular point in time when taken.

He, however, declared that with natural roots and herbs, he treats erectile dysfunction and weak organ and gives the patient a permanent cure.
His words: “I treat with pure natural roots and herbs. They give a permanent solution to erectile dysfunction, they are not stimulants. Stimulants do not cure erectile dysfunction, they may help you at that particular point in time, any time you want to have sex again, you will have to take them again, that means you are living on drugs. I advise people not to live on drugs. Anything you want to use to correct erectile dysfunction or weak organ that is a stimulant, avoid it.

“Apart from addiction, another problem with stimulants is that it reduces the level you could go before you started taking it. As you keep taking it, the level you could go naturally keeps diminishing. If you didn’t have the problem of quick ejaculation before you started taking the stimulants, you might have it if you stop.

“I am one of the few traditional medicine practitioners that specialize in treating an ailment and the ailment is erectile dysfunction or weak organ. That does not mean I don’t treat other ailments, but I decided to specialize in it. I am not like some practitioners that will claim that one drug can cure a thousand ailments. Most practitioners who know what they are doing , need to specialize in treating one ailment. I am very good at treating erectile dysfunction and I have decided to specialize in it.

“There are three major causes of erectile dysfunction. One is sexually transmitted disease. When sexually transmitted diseases are not well treated or not treated at all, it can result in erectile dysfunction. The second one is pile. When you have pile, you are likely to have erectile dysfunction. The third cause is natural phenomena in the name of old age.

Old people are found to have erectile dysfunction, which is natural, but the way it is affecting our men now is highly alarming. Our forefathers did not have erectile dysfunction at the age men are having it now. Today, you will find men of 40, 50 years complaining of erectile dysfunction. I conducted a survey and I found that 80 per cent of our men have this problem.
“Other minor causes or erectile dysfunction include, hypertension, diabetes, even ordinary malaria or typhoid fever can cause erectile dysfunction.

“Erectile dysfunction is quite a broad health issue, under it is quick ejaculation and lack of libido. Quick ejaculation is one of the most pronounced symptoms of erectile dysfunction. You find some men who can’t even last for more than one minute before ejaculation. Some men also cannot go more than one round at a time, it is also part of it.

“A survey I concluded shows that eight out of every 10 men you meet in Nigeria cannot have more than one round of sex at a time. That means about 80 per cent of our men are having this problem. But let me tell you something, there are some that cannot go more than one round, but still satisfy their wives sexually and have good sex. And there are others that suffer from quick ejaculation, that ejaculate even before the real action starts.

“So, a round of sex that lasts up to an hour or 30 minutes from foreplay is something, at least your wife can have a feel of you, and experience orgasm. But a round of sex that lasts some seconds is rubbish.
“I have treated a lot of cases of erectile dysfunction, but I don’t want to blow my trumpet, I allow those who I have cured to speak for me. There is a special case that I treated. The boy told me that since he was born, he has only been aroused sexually once. And that was not during a sexual intercourse. The boy has passed through the university, graduated and was still having the problem. He came to me after he finished Youth Service (NYSC) with his father who was worried that his son may never have children. To Gob be the glory, I treated him and today, he is okay.

“Traditional medicine is something that runs in my family. In my own case, I learnt it from my father. Since I was a child, I knew herbs that can treat one ailment or the other like malaria, fever, headache and so on.

“Virtually all my father’s children are into herbal medicine, except the ladies who may not want to practise because of their marriages. I will say I started practising herbal medicine since I was a child but later became a professional.
