Rev Fr. Anselem Adodo, Director Pax Herbal Centre and Research Laboratories, Ewu, Edo State, said that when people go for vaccination, little of the virus is injected into the system for the body to be immune against the sickness in question.
He said that "drinking urine gives you the most natural and potent immunization possible."

He cited the case of a patient with breast cancer he treated with urine therapy.

His words: "In 1996, a young girl of 17 was brought to our monastry for help. She was diagnosed to be suffering from an advanced cancer of the breasts, and needed an emergency operation, which would cost N50,000. Vero’s parents, being poor peasants, would not even afford a quarter of that amount. They began to move from place to place, appealing for funds. That was how Vero’s case came to my notice.

"Upon further inquiries, I discovered that the cancer had got to a terminal stage, and an operation was not desirable. Vero’s breast was full of sore, swollen and a pity to behold. I discussed with Vero’s doctor about this and he confirmed to me that Vero might not survive the operations, but that it was better to take the risk than to do nothing at all. I told the doctor that it would be unfair and unjust to subject a patient to an operation when there is little hope of him or her surviving the operation. I told him that Vero would not go for the operation, and that I was going to take the case.

I decided to place her on urine therapy immediately. She drank all the urine she passed and drank as much water as she could. I soaked a napkin in her urine and placed it on her breast. This napkin was soaked in the urine every one hour and kept on the breast continuously. Besides this, she also did the rubbing for 40 minutes every morning and night.

"After five days, the sore on the breast was almost healed completely. The breast, which was as hard as a stone, had become soft and succulent. Her skin took on a healthy glow. Despite these obvious and encouraging improvements, Vero, continued the therapy for another three weeks. At the end of the three week, I stopped the therapy and gave her some orange juice and tomato juice to drink, followed by mashed Avocado pear and some vegetables. Meanwhile, she continued to drink her urine. After one week of grace, Vero resumed her fasting again for three weeks.

"At the end of the three weeks, there was not a single physical trait of the sickness in her. The lump on the armpit had disappeared, the breast looked perfectly healthy, there were no more pain and cough. I sent her back to her doctors for medical tests. A new x-ray of the breast was taken, and other tests carried out, all of which proved negative. Today, she is alive, full of life. She is in a post-secondary school just 10 minutes drive away from our monastry. She has been under observation all along, and she has never manifested any symptom of the sickness.

"You do not need to be hopelessly sick before resorting to urine therapy. Prevention, they say, is better than cure. When you wake up in the morning, drink the first urine you pass. This is usually very concentrated and quite bitter. Never mind, you will soon get used to it. Drink at least four glasses of water after your first cup of urine. Try to drink the next urine you pass after that. That is all you will need for the day. Before retiring at night try to drink a full cup of your own urine. If you do this every day, you will notice a great improvement in your health.

"Your blood pressure becomes more stable; your memory sharper, your libido more strengthened; your menstrual cycle more regular, menstruation less painful, the flow more normal. Men who experience symptoms of prostrate cancer or women who have breast cancer will notice a marked improvement. The body experiences a new vigour and a general feeling of well being permeates the system.
"It does not matter what the nature of the sickness is.

Urine therapy will surely be of help, since the principle remains the same, every sickness contains its own cure. When you go for vaccination, a little of the virus is injected into your system to render the body immune to the sickness in question. Drinking your urine gives you the most natural and potent immunization possible. For dandruff, simply apply your urine to your scalp daily.

I mentioned this to a group of participants at a workshop in Lagos sometimes ago. One of the participants, looking worried, asked in a solemn tone: "Father, will my head not begin to smell if I rub urine on my head? Never mind, I said to her, apply the urine to your head only in the night, not during the day. Besides, if your head smells, don’t blame your urine for it. Once you experience the wonders of urine therapy, your doubt disappears.

"For skin problems of any kind, urine is your best bet. Urine is the best skin lotion in the world. Note, however, that if you wish to go into intensive treatment, you will need an experienced guide. Do not go into urine fast of more than 10 days without an experienced guide. One reliable guide is the book by Armstrong, the man who popularized urine therapy; The Water of Life: A Treatise On Urine Therapy.
Continuing, he cited another case of a patient with cancer of the liver and kidney failure, he treated with urine therapy.

"In 1996, my attention was drawn to a young boy of 18, Lucky by name. Lucky lived in Warri with his elder bother. He suddenly became very sick and was taken to a nearby hospital. His legs, hands, belly and face became swollen. After series of medications, Lucky got better and was discharge from the hospital.

After three weeks, Lucky’s hands, legs, belly and face became swollen again, so swollen that he was figuratively bloated. His swollen legs became as hard as rock. His penis shrank. His belly became pregnant with fluid. Lucky could no longer urinate and could hardly walk. The doctor took a long look at Lucky and then at his laboratory report and concluded that nothing more could be done for Lucky. Lucky had cancer of the liver and kidney failure. Lucky’s end was near at hand.

That was the situation when I met Lucky. He was brought back home to die peacefully. I consulted my ‘orthodox’ doctor-friends, and they assured me that Lucky could be cured if I prayed fervently for a miracle. So I did, but not exactly in the way they had imagined.

"One morning, I called Lucky’s mother and, in the presence of Lucky, explained to her the kind of treatment that Lucky would undergo. I said: As from today, Lucky will not taste any food, solid or soft. All he will take is water and his own urine. Every day, starting from today, he will collect any urine he passes in a cup and drink it immediately. He will also collect about two litres of same in a bowl, which you will rub on his body every morning and night.

"Lucky’s mother did not quite understand what I was up to, but suppose in such a hopeless situation one will be ready to attempt anything in order to stay alive. So, the treatment began. Every morning as soon as he woke up from sleep, Lucky would drink two litres of lukewarm water and any urine he passed. At eight in the morning, I would come around and collect the two litres of urine stored in a bowl the previous day. I would deep my two palms in the urine and begin to rub Lucky’s body with it, from head to toe. This would continue for one hour. The same thing would be repeated each evening. So, it went on for four weeks, no food, no fruits, only urine and water.

"At the end of the four weeks, Lucky’s body was back to its normal size. All the swellings were gone and he was able to walk freely about, despite the fact that he had not eaten for five weeks. I examined Lucky very well and urged him to continue with the fast. So, he continued for another four weeks no food, no fruits, only urine and water.

At the end of the second four weeks, Lucky was looking like a 10-year-old boy; fresh, healthy-looking and glowing with beauty. I sent him back to the hospital for medical examination, and was confirmed healthy. The liver, kidney, lungs and heart were in perfect condition. I went back to my doctor-friends and told them what had happened. They re-examined Lucky and concluded that a miracle had indeed taken place. Very true. But not exactly in the way they had imagined God had worked His miracles through nature.

"Whenever I go to give a seminar or workshop on herbal medicine, people always ask me that question; is it permitted by Catholic teaching to drink one’s own urine? Is urine therapy not a sin? My answer always begin with Lucky’s story. And then I would ask them a simple question; was it a sin for Lucky to drink his own urine? Was it right for me to ask Lucky to drink his own urine? As expected, the answer is always "no".

Urine therapy is an ancient form of natural healing. It is based on the theory that the solution to every problem is contained in the problem itself, that the body contains its own healing agents. Some people have argued that urine is a waste product that must be expelled from the system to avoid poisoning. Others maintain that urine is impure and so it is immoral to drink it.

I wish Lucky were alive today to give a testimony. What a pity, Lucky left Ewu village for Lagos three years ago to look for greener pastures. He became a taxi driver and was involved in a motor accident. Lucky died. But there are many others like Lucky who are still alive and can testify to the ‘miracle’ of the ‘water of Life".
