The wedding band is something brides don’t joke with.
They believe that it’s important.
Here’s how to get the right wedding bands for yourself
and your loved one.
• Your wedding bands are jewelry you’ll both shop
for, so you both need to get inspired. Do your research, flip
through magazines, look online and browse jewelry stores to
narrow down what you like. Make sure the style you choose
is something you’ll both still want to wear in 20 years.
When in doubt, go for the simple yet a classic one.
• Set your timetable: begin looking at least two months
before your wedding. Ensure you start early enough if you
want a custom made.
• Decide on a budget: have it in mind that the plainer
your band, the less expensive it is. Embellishment such as
scrollwork, filigree or beading may add to the cost.
• Keep your lifestyle in mind: Those with hobbies or
careers that involve many of hands in activities should avoid
delicate or bulky rings and opt for a ring with a comfort
fit. Ensure the interior is curved not flat so it won’t
punch your skin.
• To match or not: Decide whether what you wear will
match with the band. It’s good to consider rings that
are different, but have a family resemblance.
•Get Personal: To make your band extra special, consider
engraving a date or significant saying on the inside. It’s
easiest to arrange to have the rings engraved by your jeweler
when you order them. Having a ring engraved can be done while
you wait or it can take up to a month.
