Nigerians have been advised to show more love during this festive season to orphans and people with physical needs as this would go a long way in giving them a sense of belonging.

Speaking recently during the end of year/Christmas party held for the orphans at the Transit Home, Idi-Araba, Lagos, Mrs Beatrice Kasima, founder Beatrice Kasima Children’s Foundation explained that the only way to give a sense of belonging to the orphans is by demonstrating love to them with whatever is available.

“Unlike most of us, these people do not go outside the four walls of their home. They either go to school, or library which in most cases is within the orphanage, and then communicate with each other. But external interaction with them would reassure them.

“People who have the means should see that this season should be seen as that of love and as such, love should be demonstrated in every available means to them.”
Kasima also appealed to well to do Nigerians to be like the biblical Samaritan, and remember the physically challenged at all times.

Kasima explained that it her deprived childhood led her into doing charity work as well as establishing an orphanage, which has been able to put smiles on the faces of children who are either abandoned or lost either or both parents.
