Pastor Adjai O. Amadi, General Superintendent of Christ’s Vineyard Ministry, Nnewi, Anambra State, is an animal scientist by training but he left animal kingdom and diverted to ministerial job to save souls for Christ having read theology at a Bible college to equip him for the ministry.

His ministry manifests glorious power of God as captives are liberated and powers of evil forces countered in churches outside his own, fellowships and communities.

In addition to his work as a man of God, Pastor Amadi doubles as an author and insurer to enable him to propagate the gospel properly through writing and to augment his source of income, respectively.

Already, he has published a work entitled, Divine Guidance and Christians in Chains. With his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Chioma Amadi, he runs his ministry and insurance business.

Manifestation of call
I started to experience my call when I was in an institution of higher learning. And during my youth service, I was under intensive urge of the spirit of God to go into ministry. For a full week, I was under intense control of the spirit of God. Finally, I began to yield to God.

After my NYSC, we began the work in my community, Amasiri, in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. When we started, people really came and the foundation we laid was so attractive confirmed my call in two different churches.

We also had extra-ordinary experience. When we first mounted our bill board, the one that belongs to one marine spirit worker was uprooted divinely in the night of the same day we mounted our own. When we woke up in the morning, we saw that the marine spirit worker’s bill board had been pulled down.
Since that time we have been having experiences of divine intervention in our work. For example, at Amasiri, we had deliverance services where mad men and women were delivered. God delivered them and set them free.

We have had cases of people who come close to us. From my experience I have seen that if any body comes close to God with open mind to serve Him, he will remain blessed and saved through Jesus Christ.

From animal to human soul husbandry
I read animal science at College of Agriculture, Umuagwo. But after that I also studied theology. So, I have double experience.

I was born again when I was very young. That time, I was still in Class II in secondary school in the late 70s. I was born again that time and I have been in the faith all through. But not until 1985 I answered the call of God. Since that time I have been working in God’s vineyard and He has been sustaining me even though we have nasty experiences, His grace has kept us up to this moment.

God’s miracle through me
At Amasiri, two people were raised from the dead. There was also one young man, Innocent, who was mad. He was chained and abandoned. When they brought him to us, God delivered him. He is now married and has children.

Also, we had one lady at Amasiri, Patience, whose enemy gave date to die and it was terrible. When she was brought to us, the death sentence was cancelled through the power of God.
In Nnewi here also, there was a case of one lady, Ada, who was raised from the dead. When my wife and I went there, she was already stiff and cold but we prayed and believed God, eventually God raised her from the dead.

There was another mad man in Nnewi here who was moving around the streets writing on the walls some years back. God used us to deliver him. He is now married and he has even sent his younger brother to Italy. He is doing fine. There was another young man, who was injected in overseas country to die because he pushed drugs. When he came to us, we prayed for him and God delivered him. So, God has used us as vessels to do all these things which we cannot name one by one, there are many of these cases.

An insurer dealing with unbelievers
It has not been easy. The only thing is that we have made up our minds that we will not soil our hands. It has not been easy particularly in Nnewi here.
Many things are done which contradict our faith. For example, here ( Nnewi), they put their hands in dubious things, print fake papers, number plates and all the rest of them, but we have made up our minds not to do anything like that. One thing is sure: God has been very faithful to us as we refuse to partake in the evil. God has been sustaining us.

So, it is not easy. In every profession there are certain things Christians are not supposed to partake in. We have decided to face the truth and God rewards us accordingly.

Life as publisher
Art of writing is a gift of God. Right from school, I was editor-in-chief of school press club. Even though some of my works have not been published, Divine Guidance is not the first attempt I have made in writing.

As a pastor and insurer, any time I have God’s inspiration to write, I begin to write. God has been very generous to me.

The first book published is Divine Guidance and the second one is Christians in Chains already in print. So, it is God who has given us the grace to carry on this work.
You see, one might be wondering why we combine ministerial work with other things we do, it depends on the calling and it depends on our understanding.
For example, Paul was the most hardened evangelist of his own time but he had time to make tent. Yet he was very useful to God.

I believe that it is not wrong for someone to combine secular work with ministerial work. It depends on the call of God. On my own side, we are doing these things because we don’t have sponsors. If we had sponsors, we would rather concentrate on the ministerial work.

Even when we launched this book, Divine Guidance I wrote in my address that people who want to buy shares in promoting the work of God should come forward and God will bless them. The greatest investment one can make is to support the work of God. It attracts blessings, it attracts fortune and salvation.
