How I overcome several temptations

Pastor (Mrs) Joy Amedu is the presiding pastor of the Circle of Love and Deliverance Ministry. She is seen by many who worship in her church as woman of great faith who believes that prayers can do all things right. Indeed, she anchored this belief on her personal experience as and challenges faced even in the calling to work in God’s vineyard.

She said: "Severally, I have been tempted but the good thing is that each time they come I am able to overcome them. Even here in my family, several things that had happened which had challenged my faith in God, but it was through prayers that I was able to overcome these things.

Calling
I was called on December 10, 2005. When I received the call, I did not immediately heed to it. I had to ask God series of questions because I do not want to fall in the call. So, I took time to relate with God concerning this vision, wich started with an open vision which came on the December 10. In this vision, I saw seven men from heaven and they descended to meet me here on earth. I was in a place worshipping god when they descended, and they said they came for me.

These heavenly being came with a bottle of oil and a candle stick and I found myself in a cathedral where they met me worshipping God, shedding tears and they said they were for me to be redeemed. Conscious of my educational background, I tried to resist because I saw myself unworthy to carry out the task they were assigning to me but they told me that they have found me worthy. I was kind of behaving the way Moses behaved in his own time.

Naming the ministry
God also gave the ministry its name, which He also said was coined out of the word love because He is all love. So, when I went into the scriptures I discovered that the Bible told us that Jesus went into deep love and some translation says, "went into deep compassion," to perform miracles. So, it is all about love, because before you could be able to do anything, you have to do it with love. When you look at the time of Lazarus, Jesus wept before he could call Lazarus out from the land of the dead.

Churches and miracle
I believe in miracles that are from God and here in this ministry we do not deviate from the word of God and the presence of God to achieve anything we want to achieve. Other men of God may do their own differently, but I believe in what we do here that is from God Almighty. Remember it was stated in the scriptures that many will perform signs and wonders claiming to have done so in His name, but on the last day, He will tell them, get behind me for I know you not.

Challenges
This Ministry was one year in July. Since I started, God had been wonderful to me and He had been doing a lot of things here. But I tell you that the road is so easy to go through, then I lie. The road is so rough and narrow but the only thing that will keep you going on is that commission, the grace of God, because when He calls you, He will definitely give you the grace to enable you overcome. You know each time difficulties seem to be lurking around, what comes to my mind is what He told me, which is that, ‘the only thing that will make me fail is when you deviate from my pattern.’ So, for the fact that I have not deviated, no matter what I am seeing, I am not moved because I know that I am on the right track.

Temptations
Severally, I have been tempted but the good thing is that each time they come I am able to overcome them.
