Nigerians would no longer need to go through the hassles of buying raw wheat from the open market, mill by themselves and prepare as whole meal. Honeywell Flour Mills Plc has introduced ‘Honeywell Wheat Meal’ into the market.

The company’s Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Babatunde Odunayo states that this rigorous domestic production of wheat meal that might also not be very hygienic is no longer necessary. “We do not want our people to go through such stress to enjoy their meals.

There is also no guarantee that as to the quality of wheat bought from the open market, the hygienic level of the wheat and its milling in the local market and these may ultimately affect the quality of whole wheat meal produced from it”, he explains.
“We have therefore developed Honeywell Wheat Meal from the highest quality wheat, and a world class manufacturing process so that our people would enjoy it”, he stressed.

According to the Chief Executive Officer, the latest food product from the stables of Honeywell Flour Mills is a healthy ball meal which is rich in protein, fibre, minerals and lots of vitamins.
The product already has NAFDAC certification and was recently presented with the Standards Organization of Nigeria’s Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) Award for quality.

Honeywell Wheat Meal is not restricted to any particular age group. Anyone who enjoys ball foods and is desirous of more healthy meals will enjoy it. Odunayo buttresses this point emphasizing the fact that “it is richer in protein and fibre than most ball foods that are currently offered to consumers today.”

Honeywell is available everywhere; in the Open Markets, Supermarkets and Neighbourhood shops. It comes in three different sizes: 1kg, 2kg and 5kg to meet consumers’ varying needs.
For better storage, the company’s Chief Executive advises that you may pour Honeywell Wheat Meal into an air-tight closed container once the pack is opened. He recommends that the closed container should be kept in a cool dry place or in the deep-freezer to help further preserve it.
