Chief Ikenna Ukegbu, Managing Director of Jomatina Nigeria Enterprises Interbiz, has his eyes fixed on the number one seat in Imo State. He speaks about his relationship with his God.

Prayer
I learnt from my parents that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This fear has never departed from me. It has helped me to observe God’s ordinances, thus helping me to maintain a father-son, friend-friend relationship. I have a strong prayer foundation.

It might interest you to know that my wife, Hajia Amina Ukaegbu, is a Moslem but through prayer, I was able to convert her to Christianity. With prayer, you can achieve all things and move mountains. This is why, through prayer, I have committed and dedicated my journey to Imo number one seat, the people and Imo State at large into God’s care.

Tithe
Of course, it is an injunction in the Bible that we should pay tithe. This is something you do not need anyone to tell you what to do because the need for it is equally stated therein. It is for us to observe and it is for us to enjoy the benefit.

Miracle
I believe in miracle. The occurrence of it is written in God’s book. Talking about the fake ones, we are asked not to judge because our knowledge is limited, judgment belongs to God. He alone can effect it. Come to think of it, in the real sense of the word, I cannot fathom exactly what people regard as miracle. That you go to bed at night, wonder far and wide unconsciously, and awake in the morning not knowing how, that is a great miracle. It should not only be when people execute business and make big money that they can accept a miracle has occurred.

Fake men of God
The issue of fake men of God is like talking about miracles. We cannot specifically discern or judge. You really may not be able to identify them unless through what the Bible says, ‘By their fruits we shall know them’. In essence, some of the pastors that parade the streets, their activities give them away for what they are. The Bible urges us to be careful and vigilant.

Judgment
We’re enjoined to seek first the God of kingdom, not money or prosperity. There is judgment day, a day when God will repay all men according to their deeds on earth. Judgment day is a reality. The Bible tells me this.

Memorable event
I can’t specifically say this is the greatest memorable event to witness the hand of God in my life. Sleeping and waking up everyday, food on my table, even having my babies show God’s hand in my life. It is an act and hand of God in my life to be preparing for the most exulted seat in a state such as Imo.

Secret of happiness
Being close to God is the sure way to the secret of happiness. You may have money and develop an incurable disease. Of course, when that happens, you won’t be happy, but if you have God, you have everything including happiness.
