National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members can now do their service pre-registration formalities on-line using the Afribank eNYSC Scratch Cards. A statement by the bank’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr Lanre Alabi at the weekend said the Cards are now available at all branches of Afribank Nigeria Plc, NYSC Secretariat and orientation camps nationwide.

He stated that the Corps members could also through the Scratch cards be able to check for their call up numbers, register for Book of Life (Year Book) and verify service exemption by merely purchasing the card only N250.00.

Consequently prospective NYSC corps members are to use the internet-based cards to register in any of the Afribank e-Service centres or anywhere via the internet. After supply necessary information on, a slip is generated which the candidate will take to the orientation camp to collect kits and other orientation materials stress free.
The Scratch card is powered by NYSC, National eGovernment Strategy, Afribabnk and Entcomm.
Afribank has also come up with convenient products and services for the corps members during the orientation camp and service year. They are to open Accounts at concessionary conditions and enjoy varieties of value added services.

The ank has also packaged products that enable Youth Corps members to acquire tools that can aid their investment and business drive. The products include: Afribank Target Savings, Afribank Equity Account, Afribank Distributors Scheme, Afribank Franchise Finance Scheme, Afribank Shares Purchase Facility and Afribull (a high yield investment window) among others.

Afribank has also make available life enhancing products to delight the corps members such as Afribank Life Improvement Facility for Everyone, (A-LIFE) which enables them to acquire assets like television, power generating sets, refrigerator and household items among others during the service year. There is also Afribank Facility Against the next Salary Tranche (FAST) to attend to urgent financial needs before pay day.

Afribank has also offered to train NYSC members to acquire entrepreneurial skills with a view to making them to be self-employed. It will engage in capacity building training to equip them to be employers of labour after their service year.

The eNYSC project, launched last year, is an information technology project designed to make the administration of Youth Corps members run on-line. The Scheme is a bold step towards enhancing the efficiency, transparency and accountability of NYSC operations in dealing with Youth Corps members and saves Youth Corps members registration time and stress at the orientation camps.

The Group Managing Director, Mr. Sebastian Adigwe, had earlier stated “the eNYSC project is another of our innovative e-banking solutions package which we have used to drive the business of many private and public institutions successfully. Our robust information technology platform, Globus, has enabled us to offer seamless services to diverse individuals and corporate institutions.”
