The 2007 edition of the yearly Stallion Autoline Motor Show lived up to expectation from the opening day, Friday October 12, till the curtain came down two days ago at the Ocean View Garden, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In terms of the number of vehicles on display, visitor turn-out. lay-out of venue and side attraction, the exhibition was described by both the organizers and some members of the public as a success.

Spokesman for Stallion Motors ( the company that packaged the event), Mr. Vikas Kane, said the organizers were impressed with the keen interest shown by visitors in the vehicles display, disclosing that many of them took advantage of the generous discounts to make purchases.
One of the visitors, Mr. Jones Ilo, who watched on Saturdays as the new Hyundai Elentra to be won in a raffle was being mounted on a platform, commended the organizers for the generosity of ( giving out a whole car free"

He also gave his impression of the fair: " It is a full house. With as many as six brands here, I think it is correct to say that this is the first time so many vehicles are being exhibited in one place by one company."

It was indeed a full house as all the vehicles in the Honda, Volkewagen, Audi, Hyundai, Skoda and Mahindra range, were paraded and sold. It was also an opportunity for new products to be shown to the public. Mahindra was, however, still being expected at the venue when Daily Sun visited the venue early in the week.

Predictably, The Honda Place flaunted City, Civic, Accord and the latest CR-V; while Hyundai Nigeria exhibited the all-new Elentra unveiled in Abuja three months ago, the new Veracruz and Tucson, as well as Santa Fe, Accent, Azera, HI ( bus and utility version), Getz, H100 mini truck and the 30 – seater Deluxe County bus with A/C.

Skoda World had on display Fabia, Octavia, Superb and Superb Estate; while Volkewagen Centre featured the new Suran, the latest Jetta and Passat ( with PSI engine), Beetle and the Touareg. Audi had in its line-up A3, A4, A6 and the premium luxury limo called A8.
