It was a day of excitement for Mr Oluwasegun Okhumode and
Miss Oluwafunke Bakare as the lovebirds were joined as husband
and wife at the Ona-Ora Local Government Registry, Akaran,
Ibadan. The couple who courted for eight years said the relationship
was at the initial stage not a bed of roses but God showed
them the way to a blissful union.
Husband How we met
We met at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Eruwa. On that fateful day,
I was going to see a friend when we stumbled into each other.
We boarded the same cab and we started talking to each other.
I have great respect for her. Our eight year relationship
was purely based on true love.
Love at first sight
She is humble and respectful. I love her smile and everything
about her is just okay for me. Another thing that strikes
me about her is her patience. A discreet wife comes form Jehovah.
Her love is meant for us to live as one family.
Likes
She loves to sing for me. I believe that God created us the
same day. We have the same character and love, which we share
in common. I like her the way she is.
Dislikes
Nothing. We are one today. God has made in his own image to
love and not to dislike each other. I like my beautiful wife
and I promise to love her till eternity.
Wife
He is very caring and responsible. I love him because he likes
telling me stories. I have learnt a great deal from him. As
a husband, he encourages me in whatever I do. He is an exceptional
person and I love him the way he is.
Favourite food
He eats Egusi soup and Amala. That is what I love preparing
for him since that is his favourite.
Parental consent
My parents were proud of him when they saw him. They like
seeing him. They relate with him as their own son and they
gave us the advice to remain focussed in God. They made us
to realise that a happy home is full of ups and downs and
that has been keeping us in check in our relationship.
