I met my wife one afternoon when she came to deliver a message
in my store during her youth service days. She came in and
greeted me saying that she was looking for Mr. Edozie, owner
of the store.
I said I was the person and she delivered the message, but
as she was leaving, something told me that this is my missing
rib.
The one that I’ve been looking for all these years.
But then, she did not give me attention until after three
and half years later.
Attraction
So many things do attract men to women. In my case, I will
say what attracted me were her height and the manner in which
she comported herself. When she was talking to me, she was
so composed as if we had met before. Above all, she was truly
a God-sent to me like the Bible said; " wife of noble
character who can find?" She was really a virtuous woman
and right there and then, I said to myself, what God has joined
together, let no one put asunder, not even my parents.
Likes
When we talk about likes, men will give a thousand and one
reasons they like a woman, but the question is, are they really
showing it? You see, as a young man, I have gone round the
world and there is no one like my wife. There are so may attributes
in her that a man will like. She is so humble, gentle and
above all, the willingness to be of help to anyone who comes
across her way. She also takes correction without nagging.
Proposal
I proposed to her in 2004, but she did not accept till after
three good years. You see, determination is what keeps a man
going. I did not relent in my effort to win her love. The
only thing I said to myself was that it’s only her or
no one else, but as God would have it, I pick up my cell phone
one day to remind her of my proposal to her. Funny enough,
before I could finish what I was saying, she said, ‘I
have accepted, how can I see you?’ I thanked God because
I knew what I have seen in her and I believe God for everything.
Then we got engaged, which eventually led to our marriage
at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Warri.
Courtship
I did not enjoy my courtship with her because she was not
there. It was when all hopes were lost that she conceded to
my request.
Wife
Likes
My husband is truthful, honest and a charitable person. He
hardly gives up when he is bent on getting something, in other
words, he can even reach beyond the skies to get whatever
he wants.
Dislikes
My husband is not good-looking at all, when he is angry, but
I still know how to calm him down.
Attraction
He is very humble. And above all, he has the height every
lady wants in a man (5ft 6 inches). I also like his skin colour
and I fell in love with his library at home.
How we met
Sounds funny isn’t it? During my youth service days,
I was sent to deliver a message and to no other person but
himself without even knowing why he must be the recipient
and not any of his siblings or parents.
Parents opposition
There was no opposition as we actually thought. It was my
decision to make a choice of my own.
In-laws
They’ve always liked me from the word go, but I simply
think its because God designed and established our union.
HIV test before marriage
Well, I can say that if God is on your side, the devil cannot
put you down. His family beckons on test before marriage and
I told them that even if it’s positive, I would still
marry him. But God proved them wrong, it was negative.
Favourite food
Akpu and Egusi soup with fresh fish and plenty vegetable.
Advice
I want all intending couples to hold on to God and not man. |
