Lillian Adaugo Isukwem is an ambitious third year student of Mass Commuication from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. She lives in Lagos with her family consisting of four boys and herself being the only girl. One remarkabe thing about her is the dimple on her face as she smiles. In this interview she talks about her first kiss.

When it happened

Sometime in January 2003. I can’t remember the date but I’m very sure it was on a Sunday. He was just a casual friend. We were supposed to go for a party together. So, I went to his place because that was where we were taking off.

How did it happened?

We were discussing and then we got very emotional. We were just starring into each others’ eyes. I was not expecting him to kiss me because such a scenario had taken place before and we didn’t kiss. So, I thought he would just back off like the previous time but the next thing I knew was that he came very close and kissed me.

How did you feel?

Ah! I felt very shy and embarrassed. I could not believe what had just happened.

What was your reaction?

Since I wasn’t expecting it, I just stood still. It was when he kissed me that I understood and I just allowed nature take charge.

Are you still with the person?

Yes, we are still together.

What is the relationship like now?

Well, we’re waxing strong and it is likely to lead us to the altar.

Regrets?

No, I’m happy we’re together.
