In the police force, a signal is used to communicate the
whereabouts of police officers stationed in various locations
to warn of imminent danger or to pass cross other messages.
But in the hand of one officer, it turned out to be a tool
to woo a fellow police officer.
Here is the story of Mr Ayodele Owoeye and former Miss Ebunoluwa
Makanjuola who wedded recently at the Redeemed Christian Church
of God, Olorunsogo, Ibadan. The couple spoke to Daily Sun
about their relationship.
Husband
How we met
We were both police officers at Oyo State Command headquarters
at Eleyele, Ibadan. When I first saw her, I admired her looks
and comportment. Immediately, it dawned on me that this is
who I wanted. I liked everything I saw, so I immediately sent
for her through a signal. She came, saw me and I proposed
to her. She agreed and we courted for one year which was splendid.
The relationship lasted for a year before we finally wedded.
Love at first sight
It was actually love at first sight. I love her for what she
is. Everything about her stands out and she is the type that
expresses her feelings. I love her dearly for that. She is
also humble and submissive. In addition, she is industrious.
Who can find a virtuous woman, for her worth is far above
rubies. The heart of her husband safely trust her so he will
have no lack. She does him good and not evil all the days
of her life.
Likes
What do you expect me to say than to tell you that I love
everything about her. I like her for what she is.
Dislike
Even during the courtship, there was nothing to dislike about
her. She is simple lovely. There is nothing that I dislike
about her because there is nothing to dislike about her. It
is love that binds us together.
Wife
Attraction
He is a coolheaded man, always ready to listen to you. What
really thrills me is the fact that he listens to advice. Also,
he does not behave rudely. As the Bible says, love does not
seek its own. Love is not provoked neither does it think of
evil. Love bears all things. My husband is everything to me.
Parental consent
The first day my husband came to our house, my parents loved
him, they asked him some questions which he respectfully answered
and that to them shows a sign of humility and responsibility.
My parents prayed for us and gave us their blessings.
Proposal
You wouldn’t believe it, my husband toasted me through
signal message. He signaled me that morning and I quickly
went to see him thinking it was official. But love cannot
hide, once you find the bone of your bone. When I got there,
I discovered that it was something else. Well, when he proposed
to me, there and then, I accepted.
