They wanted to be friends but things changed faster than they could imagine. The relationship metamorphosed and the lovebirds began a journey of eternal love. Their dynamic courtship took everyone by surprise and happily they tied the knot. It was therefore a very happy moment recently when Chijioke Ani hooked daughter of the Commissioner of Police, Osun State, Funmilayo Morenike at Our Saviour’s Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

How we met
I met her through a friend. There, we started the relationship and we both love each other. The day I set my eyes on her, I knew she was my wife. I never thought of the fact that she was coming from another tribe. We had two wonderful years together for courtship.

Attraction
She has attractive features. She is very intelligent and always loves to be informed. I have great confidence in her as a good wife. She is a wonderful woman with all kinds of creative ideas.

Likes
I like everything about her especially her smile. Today I am very happy that I married my wife, the one I live for, dream with and truly love. She loves to speak my mind and she can tell if I am lonely or disturbed. She is everything to me.

Dislikes
There is nothing like dislike in my dictionary. My wife is everything to me. We were taught in the Bible that husbands should love their wives and not to dislike her.

Proposal
It sounds so funny… I proposed to my wife through the MTN night call. I talked for three hours before she accepted me.

Wife
What do you expect?
Chijioke is my Igbo husband while I am his Yoruba wife. Definitely God made us for one another right from creation. We will live forever as husband and wife. Our love grew like the moth into a spring butterfly, now we glide in strength and beauty. Today, God sealed our love as one flesh and one home.

Favourite food
He loves to eat rice and dodo. He enjoys my food all the time.

Parent consent
It was celebration galore when my parents saw my husband. Even though my father is the Commissioner of Police, Osun state Command, Mr John Morenike, he accepted my husband without complaining. My father including my mother only encouraged us to live together as one. They did not worry about the fact that we are not from the same tribe. They warned that we shouldn’t involve any third party in our matrimonial home.
