The Ojomo triplets - Kenny, Taiwo and Eta - are a delight to behold any day. Pretty, young, charming and per chance spiritual. Needless to say Nollywood producers can’t take their eyes off them. While some want to have them on their set, quite a few though would wish they were available to warm their bed. That is the dilemma of the Ojomo triplets, perhaps the only in Nollywood.

SAMUEL OLATUNJI caught up with them at their Lagos home where they shared their frustration with producers who catch in on their naivety and all the sex issues and spiritual talks associated with triplets.

How does it feel to be triplet?
It’s normal, but to a lot of people it is surprising. They have not seen a triplet grow up like us.

That is funny, but why didn’t one of you die because most triplets I know are incomplete?
That is how God wants it. It is not by our power or might, it is the work of God.

Do you wish to continue acting?
Yes, we wish to continue but the ones we did they did not give us anything, they just told us to go, that they will get back to us, and they never did, to this day. So we are not interested in anything any more.

What if the price is good?
We will have to wait till then.

In the movies you’ve done, did three of you play along each other?
Yes, in the first one we appeared in two scenes, the title is Rainbow. We had Lanre Balogun and a couple of others. The second one we did also had Lanre Balogun, Olumide Bakare, Joke Jaiyesimi, Pa Kasunmu and others. We played the lead role in that one.

Did you get paid for playing lead role?
No, not at all. It was Lanre Balogun that called us, he told us that he was not the producer, that the producer is in America, and that they will call us when the lady comes around. But up till now we have not heard from him.

How long has that been?
It is now two years plus.

What are you doing now?
I’m in LASU.

What about others?
Eta is in Ado Ekiti Poly, while Taiwo has travelled.

When did she travel?
Last year.

What for?
She is married to a US-based husband.

Does that mean wedding bell will ring soon?
Oh, yes, very soon.

How true is it that triplets exchange boyfriends once in a while?
I don’t know about that. What I do know is that we don’t exchange boyfriends. We don’t do that at all.
I’m sure you guys must have played one or two pranks on guys before. Didn’t you?
No, because anytime we have boyfriends, they are always able to differentiate among us.

I’m sure you must have played one girlish trick on innocent guys.
Yes, sometimes ago, Eta’s boyfriend came to our house in Ibadan and said to me:‘I’ve been calling you but you don’t want to pick my calls’. I told him that I was not the one but he insisted that I was the one. So I told him ‘I am sorry’.

What happened after you saw Eta?
I told her and she was laughing.

So, none of your boyfriends has a problem identifying his woman?
Sometimes when they see us together they wonder who their girlfriend is but we help them out.

When you were on location, did you encounter any form of sexual harassment?
No, we were always together so that gave them little or no chance.

What are you studying at LASU?
I am studying English and Eta is studying Business Administration.

How has it been handling guys?
They appreciate the work of God, that’s all.

What if they want something more?
They tell me what they have on their minds and I politely tell them ‘no’.

How many times have you said ‘yes’?
Sometimes I just say ‘yes’ to let them go. Guys could be very stubborn, so I say ‘yes’ sometimes so that they can let me be.

How many guys have you genuinely accepted their proposals?
I can’t remember.

How many boyfriends have you had?
Let me say, two.

Why did you break up with the last one?
The guy is not serious.

Was he chasing women?
Something like that.

What else is a guy looking for; after all you seem to have everything?
Maybe just to play.

For how long have you been in your present relationship?
For four years.

That means it is altar-bound.
Yes!

When will the wedding bell ring?
Very soon.

I guess you guys will get married on the same day?
Yes. We are going to do the church wedding together.

Do you feel something for each other when you are apart?
Yes, we miss each other but we don’t have any choice.

Is it true you guys share secrets?
Yes, we do.

That means you tell each other what you do with your guys in bed.
No, we don’t do that.

So you did not tell each other the day you lost your virginity?
No!

When was the first time you had a kiss?
I can’t remember.

Is it true you fall sick simultaneously?
Yes!

ETA
Is it true you are the most troublesome of the lot?
I am not troublesome o!

But your sisters say you are.
They are only joking, I’m not.

Will you ever act again?
I don’t think I’ll ever act again.

What if the fee is right and the script good?
We will have to look at it very well and consider if they are going to pay us.

Can you act independent of your sister?
Yes!

Why did you think you were not paid?
I don’t know. All they do is promise that they would pay us but they never did.

Aside being a student, what else do you do?
I don’t do anything.

Why did you choose Business Administration?
I want to go into business after school.

Do you have a boyfriend?
Yes!

Is it true you share secrets?
Yes!

So if I toast you now, will you tell your sisters?
Yes!

Would you therefore tell your sisters what you do in bed with your boy friend?
No, I won’t.

Were your parents down with your acting choice?
Yes, they really liked it. They said only God knows where he wants to lead us.

What do you think the future holds for you?
I don’t know, but what I know is that my future is bright.

Why do you girls fall sick simultaneously?
It is spirit.

So, you believe there is a spirit behind triplets.
Yes!

Have you encountered one?
No!

Do you pay homage to sprit of triplets?
No, but on our birthday, which is April 26, we used to cook a lot of beans.

What is your boyfriend doing?
I don’t want to disclose that.

What can I do to snatch you from your boyfriend?
You can’t do anything.

What if I give you anything you want?
There is nothing you can give me.

What was your impression of sex when you were growing up?
There were many things on our minds, sex was the last thing.

Did you tell your sister the first time you had sex?
I did not.

When was the first time you had a kiss?
Two years ago.

Why didn’t you finish at Poly Ibadan?
Cult guys and girls were disturbing us. The Aiye and Black Bra.

How many are in your family?
Ten, and we are the fourth born.
