The Admiral Dele Abiodun-led faction of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and that led by Tee Mac are at daggers drawn over the 2008 edition of the Nigeria Music Awards (NMA).

While the Abiodun faction avers that PMAN has had extensive discussions and consultations with one of the major facilitators of the event, Tony Okoroji, Tee Mac insists that his faction, which he regards as the authentic one, has the sole right over the NMA.

Premised on this, Tee Mac remains adamant on taking the Abiodun-led faction of PMAN to court.
Tee Mac has made it clear that he would not sit back and fold his arms while Admiral Abiodun allegedly makes nonsense of the vibrant music structure he has built over the years.

The NMA, according to Abiodun, remains a rallying point for the Nigerian entertainment industry. He added that it is in the interest of the nation that the NMA continues to remain number one in Africa.
“We have actually had extensive discussions and consultations with the prime mover of the event, Chief Tony Okoroji. As you may recall, Chief Okoroji is a well celebrated past president of PMAN with undeniable commitment to the development of the music industry in Nigeria. We are indeed convinced and confident that the NMA 2008 in Imo state is, as a matter of fact, a step in the right direction and it is in the overall best interest of the Nigerian music industry and the nation at large,” said Abiodun.
