A new life and style magazine, ‘Nubian Styles,’
made its debut recently in Nigeria. Nubian Images, a UK based
media organisation is behind the magazine.
Speaking at the launch at the exclusive Jade Chinese Restaurant,
Ikeja, Lagos, Mr. Murphy Mufus, the publisher disclosed that
the magazine showcases the latest and best in original black
and African fashion and hairstyles across the world.
“As a black man that has lived in the UK for more than
20 years, I had the privilege of building a portfolio of beautiful
African hair styles and put it in a magazine, so that people
all over the world can see the Nubian style, which started
from Egypt and have never stopped being admired till date,”
he said.
Nubian Styles celebrates the glory of the African woman as
well as showcases a vast variety of exceptional designs by
Nigerians and Africans, both at home and in the Diaspora.
It’s an all glossy magazine that features contemporary
African fashion and style.
According to the publisher, its content definitely defines
its mission. Nubian Styles will be every woman’s guide
to looking radiant and beautiful.
It features sizzling columns like ‘Fashion Hints,’
‘Hair Care Hints,’ ‘Beauty Tips’ and
‘Nubian Hair Collection,’ which makes a review
of the best salons and hair treatment centres in the country
and beyond.
Mufus informed that ‘Nubian Style’ is about the
pride and passion in African fashion, and carters for ethnic
hair styling for black people.
Among the attractive offers in the magazine is the chance
of winning N2500 in salon services and photo shoots for individuals
in the fashion industry who will use the medium to showcase
their works.
