As a way of marking the season of love, The Redeemed Church of God, Garden of Peace, Falolu, Surulere, will on February 24 hold the fifth edition of Africa Praise tagged: Praise and laugh.

Explaining the scope of the show to Daily Sun, Edo Charles, multi-talented comedian and musician, said: “ Five years ago, I made a covenant with God that if he takes me to the next level, I would gather people for free and praise Him with my talents. And that is what I have been doing and this year’s would not be different.”

Charles, who has groomed many popular comedians, also hinted that he has been solely responsible for the events with the backing of the senior pastor of the church, Amos Emovon.
“ Pastor Amos has been a blessing and encouragement to many people.

He is a role model who is interested in people’s progress and would support you as long as you are doing whatever you are doing in biblical standard. From day one, apart from God, and few individuals, he has been there for me and I pray that God would continue to bless him even as he continues his good works.” Charles stated.

The occasion which opens at 5p.m will feature popular comedians and musicians like Gandoki, Gordons, Tosin Martins, Chris Maduabuchi, Talkative, Sanya Fuji and a host of others.
Edo also promised to introduce a new trend in comedy as he says he would crack jokes with his keyboard.

“ People will have a nice time, they would dance, praise God as they never did before. They will not laugh to forget their sorrows but they will laugh to lose their sorrows. Your gate fee is your smile, if you wear a hard face, you won’t gain,” he remarked.
