Nigeria, Tunisia open camp for Abuja war

The camp of the Super Eagles will be thrown open today by Nigerian
coach, Shaibu Amodu, in preparation for the do-or-die 2010 World
Cup qualifier tie with Tunisia.
Amodu had called up 23 foreign-based players for the September 6
cracker and will camp at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja. The team
are billed to have their first training session at the Abuja National
Stadium this evening.
Meanwhile, some of the players have been rumoured to be in Lagos
and are expected to storm the camp on Monday night.
In the same vein, Tunisia coach, Humberto Coelho, who named his
24-man team for the clash against Nigeria will also open his camp
today with a plan to stage three training sessions daily.
The training has been fixed for the ground of Mouradi Club Kantaoui
at 5 p.m.
Nigerian time coincides with the time of the match. Only the first
meeting on Monday is open, the other three, those of Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday, will be conducted in camera. The Tunisian media, however,
are allowed to attend the first 15 minutes of the three meetings.
Representatives of the press will have at their disposal three players,
30 minutes before the start of training. The national team will
fly to Abuja on Friday at 9 a.m, aboard a special plane from the
Monastir Airport. On arrival in Abuja, Coelho will conduct two training
sessions on Friday.
