Eric Asamoah Frimpong has expressed confidence that Enyimba would come out of today’s game against JUTH FC unscratched, after their Sunday’s scoreless draw against Al Ahly in Aba.

He said that JUTH should prepare for fireworks from the Aba-based side, as they would play like wounded lions to make up for the short fall in Aba.

Fringpong told Nigerians not to rule them out yet in the CAF Champions League, as the game has not been lost. He was of the opinion that since Al Ahly could come to Aba and get a draw, nothing would stops Enyimba from going there to pull a draw as well.

The Ghanian midfielder was instrumental in the triumph of Enyimba against Akwa United when his header in the 11th minute into the game doubled the advantage for the home-side, who had opened scoring in the first minute.

Asked how he felt about scoring in his debut for the five-time league champions, Frimpong said: “I was very happy. It’s the dream of every player to score in his debut, so I was happy.
“Honestly, I don’t know and it doesn’t really bother me that we didn’t score more than two goals. We have secured all three points and that is all that matters.”

Giving Enyimba’s ferociously attacking style of play in the rescheduled game, Frimpong said it was a good thing and cautioned visiting teams to be careful, saying Aba would not be the venue where spoils are shared.

“We put up a very good game and I’m sure our fans were pleased with our performance. My word to visiting teams is that they should beware!” he added, smiling.
Eric, whose elder brother, Joetex also played for Enyimba before joining CS Sfaxien reiterated his happiness with his side's performance, including his goal and promised the fans, “I’ll score more goals.
