Director-General of Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, (NTDC), Otunba Segun Rusewe has been bestowed the “Tourism Personality and Tourism Achiever: award by the Association of Nigerian Travel Journalist and Writers of Tourism (ANJET).

The official award ceremony comes up on September 27, at the World Tourism Day, in Jos. According to the association in the letter to the NTDC boss, the award is in recognition of his passionate interest in turning around the tourism sector, giving it a flip that set tourism apart from other sectors of the economy.

“We thumb up your passion and drive in the past one year in reengineering NTDC and tourism and on this score we found you worthy to be given this award” the association noted.
It should be noted that this award is the first of its kind to any individual or corporate head in the sector by the association which is famed for its stinginess in giving out awards.
