Unity Bank takes ATM services
to Abuja trade fair

In its bid to take its service standard to a new level, UnityBank
Plc, has deployed ATM services at its stand at the on-going
Abuja International Trade Fair.
The bank's Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Bature Mamman-Da,
said that: as a major exhibitor at the fair, we expect a very
massive turnout of our existing and potential customers. We
have added an ATM to our service offerings at the trade fair
ground in order to accommodate the expected crowds, as well
as to provide ease and comfort for themi.
Mamman-Da also disclosed that the bank will showcase its consumer
credit product tagged, Unity P.A.Y.S., its enterprise promotion
product, Unity BeTA, as well as its special product on holy
pilgrimages, Unity Holy Trip.
He added that, "We shall also showcase our Unity e-Success,
a bouquet of various e-banking products and services, aimed
at simplifying banking processes for the ordinary man in the
street." Among these e-banking products are: e-pay, internet
banking, transaction alert, and webschool.
The e-pay product enables UnityBank to handle automatic payment
to contractors on behalf of merchants in such a way that authorized
account officers from the merchants, can initiate, authorize
and effect payment directly into their contractors account
irrespective of which bank the account is domiciled.
The internet banking enables existing and potential corporate
or retail customers of the bank, who have internet connectivity
at home or in the office, to easily sign up for this value
added service to enable them access their accounts online.
The service helps customers to monitor their account balances,
place their request for cheque books, etc.
The transaction alert sends an instant message into mobile
phone handset or e-mail address of customers who register
for such a service with UnityBank. This helps customers to
monitor their account balances, every time a withdrawal or
deposit is made to such an account.
Similarly, customers and members of the general public who
visit the UnityBank Stand can avail themselves of SMS/telephone
banking services.
The webschool on the other hand enables students to pay their
school fees and conclude their often stressful registration
exercise online within the comfort of their homes. Among the
other benefits of this product are its cost effectiveness
and its ability to enable parents to access the bank accounts
of their wards for easy monitoring.
Mamman-Da said that, "These e-products were developed
and successfully deployed by Unity Bank to provide the most
competitive and cost-effective banking services to retail
and other categories of customers of the bank throughout the
federation."
Speaking on behalf of the Management of the bank, Mamman-Da
