Ailing Ibadan politician, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu, may be flown
to London today for more medical attention.
Daily Sun learnt yesterday that the health of the strongman
of Ibadan politics and a chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) have failed to improve since he left Reddington
Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, last week, a development
that prompted his aides and children to conclude plans to
take him to London for more attention.
Sources at the Molete residence of the politician confided
in Daily Sun, on condition of anonymity, that Adedibu’s
ailment has started having adverse effect on his sight.
Adedibu, who also granted an interview to the state-owned
broadcasting station, BCOS, few days back, gave a clue that
he may travel abroad for more medical attention.
Adedibu returned to Ibadan last Monday after spending two
weeks in the Lagos hospital. His return made his once empty
compound come alive again as the premises was instantly filled
with fleet of cars and large crowd of supporters who were
expressing appreciation to God for making their mentor and
benefactor return home safe and sound.
