Orient Petroleum: How best to pay compensation for acquired land

The Anambra State government is remarkable. It has invested about N4 billion in the operations of Orient Petroleum Resources Company, the first private refinery in the country. In addition, Governor Peter Obi has given assurance that the money to pay compensation to the host communities was already available, as it is the policy of his government to pay compensation as prescribed by the law for land acquired by the government.
