Dele Aiyenugba has confirmed that he would remain with double champions, Enyimba International Football Club of Aba until June, when he will moves to pitch tent with an Israeli club.

Confirming this to Leaguemania at the weekend in Aba after helping the People’s Elephant to the next round of CAF Champions League, Aiyenugba said the rumour making round about his future with the Aba club was false and malicious.

"I am still with Enyimba. As you can see, I manned the post today, and I am happy with my continued relevance in the team. I will, however, leave the team in June, when my contract with an Israeli club is expected to commence.
"Those that spread the rumour of my leaving Enyimba are enemies of progress and I will not allow any of their antics to derail the progress of the club."

The goalkeeper also said he was ready for action in the Globacom Premier League, which, according to him, would boost the confidence of the team to excel at this year’s Champions League.
"I am happy that after an uncertain timing for the commencement of Premier League action, the Nigeria Football League (NFL) has finally set March 25 to begin the season.

"The inaction, occasioned by the delay in the kick-off of the league, has affected our preparations for the Champions League. I am confident that once we start playing regularly, the lack of cohesion, which we experienced against Manga Sports of Congo, would be a thing of the past if we start playing together. We have a set of new players in the team, who are talented and good, but they need some quality matches to play as a team in order to blend very well."
He called on the Aba fans to excerise patience with the team.

"Our fans have always stood by us in good and bad times, but I want to encourage them not to lose hope or sleep because we are going to retain both the league shield and the FA Cup. They should also expect a fine run from us at the CAF Champions League, because we did it before and I believe we can do it again," he concluded.
