Manchester City defender, Nedum Onuoha, would be open to the idea of playing for Nigeria, according to sources close to the player.

Onuoha, whose full names are Chinedum Onuoha, was born in Warri, Nigeria to Nigerian parents.
He qualifies to represent his country of birth despite having made 14 appearances for England at Under-21 level.

With Everton striker Victor Anichebe having made a successful debut for Nigeria, it is understood that Onuoha will not rule out the possibility of playing international football for Nigeria at senior level.

“Nedum is not ruling out anything yet at this stage of his career, but apparently, he's open to the idea of playing for Nigeria,” KickOffNigeria.com was informed.
Onuoha is currently out for the season after dislocating his shoulder playing for Manchester City against Chelsea.
