NFL postpone seminar for Olympics …League draw holds today

The Nigeria Football League (NFL) have postponed the international seminar scheduled to begin tommorow (Thursday) in Abuja because of some logistics problems.

In a statement in Abuja on Monday, the league board said speakers expected to deliver papers at the seminar were all in Beijing , China for the Olympics and advised invited guest and members of the public that the event had been pushed forward to August 25–27.

NFL, however, insisted that the draw for the league would be held in Abuja today. According to the Acting Chairman of NFL, Shehu Gusau, the need to hold the league draw was informed by the nearness of the league resumption date and asked all Premier League clubs to be present at the draw.
“We have moved the international seminar which was scheduled to commence from (Thurday) to August 25–27 to allow our speakers to return from Beijing.
However, we have agreed that the league draw will hold today.
