Police authorities in Gombe State, on Wednesday, said Ephraim Ajuji, the nurse kidnapped early Tuesday was released by his abductors.
Commissioner of Police Shina Olukolu Tahir, confirmed the release of Ephraim Ajuji to newsmen, adding that the victim was released in the early hours of Wednesday.
“Due to persistent pressure from security agencies, led by police operatives, the victim was released very early this morning (Wednesday),” he said.
The abductors of Ephraim Ajuji, a senior nurse with Cottage Hospital in Dadin-Kowa of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area of Gombe, initially demanded for N10 million as ransom.
