…Says Adeniyi’s book full of distortions

Mesmerised by the barrage of criticisms that have trailed his submissions in the book, ‘Against the Run of Play’, which was written by Olusegun Adeniyi and presented to the public last Friday, former President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday declared that the book contained some distortions.
The former President, who aired his view on the book through his Facebook account, said he would soon make full revelations on the issues surrounding the 2015 presidential election.
Jonathan wrote :”I have just read Segun Adeniyi’s new book, ‘Against the Run of Play’ which has so far enjoyed tremendous reviews in the media. My take on it is that the book as presented contains many distorted claims on the 2015 presidential election by many of the respondents.
“There will obviously be more books like that on this subject by concerned Nigerians. However, I believe that at the right time, the main characters in the elections including myself will come out with a true account of what transpired either in major interviews or books.”
The former President was quoted in the book to have accused the United States of America, Britain, France and some political players of conspiring against him during the 2015 elections.
He also spoke on the current war on corruption, claiming that those that accuse his government of being corrupt were more corrupt.
