Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the Action Alliance (AA), Hon.
Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje has said that his party will take part in the next year’s governorship election coming up in the state.
Omo-Aje in an interview with our correspondent said the so called big parties in the state would be in for a surprise saying, “we will contest to win and not to contest for the mere sake of it.”
According to him, the so called bigger parties had one time or the other disappointed the good people of the state, enthusing that, “with the arrival of the AA government at the State House in November 2018, it will be a new dawn for our people.”
Speaking further, Omo-Aje assured the people of the state of robust governance from 2018 upward under the AA administration promising that, “our party can be proud of seasoned individuals who are eminently competent to handle the affairs of the state perfectly.”
When propped up to mention names, the Ede born youthful politician said, “the bridge can only be crossed when we get to the river side,” assuring however that, “our people will be satisfied with whoever we will present to them as our flagbearer after the whistle is blown for party primaries across the parties.”
The AA state boss asserted that, “our party has strong presence and formidable structures across the state,” boasting that, “ours is a grassroots party with people’s oriented programmes that will bring the practical change that the citizenry are yearning for all this while.”
On membership registration drive, Omo-Aje said the way people are seeking after the party’s membership cards, is overwhelming, adding that, “the caliber of people trooping into the party and making consultations with us will surprise you.”
As it stands now, the AA chieftain continued, “we are going to be the cynosures of all eyes in the coming election as we stand the chance of being a giant killer in the contest,” warning that, “any party that underrates us will have itself to blame.”
While concluding, the state party chairman said, “our preparation is already sending alarming signals to all other parties including the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC),” stating that, “come 2018, AA will be the moving train that nobody can dare.”
